TLAMATI

In Tlamati, we believe that the agave distillates encompass traditions, culture, pride, hard work and enriching experiences. We wish to share our admiration for the endeavors and knowledge that the master distillers employ to create a premium agave distillate. Tlamati is a spirit to be enjoyed from the bottle art right through the last drop, created for those who want to understand and appreciate the essence of the agave. We have established a very close relationship with the producers, their culture and their families; this is why we wish to share distillates from Puebla that embody the essence of the Sierra del Tentzo protected area, full of mountains, rivers, nature, biodiversity and of course agave plants.

To know and to feel

Tlamati is a word in the Náhuatl indigenous language that means “know or feel something”. In the náhuatl cosmovision, in order to learn something it is also necessary to perceive it, in such a way that learning is assimilated before its transformation into knowledge.

It is the same in the world of distillates, in order to savor and enjoy a good agave spirit, one needs an introduction first; know who produced it, which maguey was selected, in which ecosystem did that maguey grow, how it was cared for and handled, the customs of the producer’s family, in which ritual context and which festivals are these spirits enjoyed. Knowledge allows us to feel, appreciate and respect the origin of each sip of the spirit.
